Bypassed my reverse limiter today. ** Blew main fuse, oops. **

Glad to be rid of that thing. Just put a jumper wire between the two wires in the front of the steering column. Works great and no switch or holes. Still looks stock. Easy to remove as well.

One was brown completely and the other was white w/black stripe on it. I will verify it tonight. If you take the two screws out of the bottom of the box on the handlebars and remove the plastic insert in the bottom you can see the two wires and then trace it. I will take a pic of it tonight and post.

ah... nice to hear, to get rid of mine I adjusted the shift linkage forward a bit to where the reverse light barely doesn't come on. Now, no more limiter.
I think I might try your way if you can specify little further instructions, please. Which wires.

Ok, here is a pic of what I did. It seems to work fine but time will tell. The only thing I would do differently is use some sort of different connector. Maybe something to pinch thru the two wires w/o having to run a jumper wire. I know what I want to do that with but didn't see it at the store. Anyway, here is the pic.

I didn't feel like pulling the electrical tape off, but I figure you will understand it.

I bypassed mine by installing a small toggle switch on the right hand side of my digital display. That way, you can still turn it on so when someone else is ridin it, they can't do 30mph in reverse! Also, my son rides my 650 and I can turn the rev limiter back on for safety reasons.
