Finally my garage will be up within the next month and my dad likes the Lakota so looks like maybye soon I can add it to my quad list.........anyways does anyone have pics of the 03 or maybye just riding pics in general?............oh and how good does the lakota wheelie stock>and i hear the throttle response isnt good!!!???? is that so....

The throtle response leaves something to be desired if you've ridden well tuned sport machines or just a 250ex. It will wheelie, doesn't really like to which is why my girlfriend rides it. I didn't want the front end lifting while climbing large hills. If you are rolling in first, pull up on the shifter, as if to shift and rev the motor a bit, you will be in a sort of neutral. Then let your foot down, it will pop into 2nd gear and wheelie as long as you want it to. It will come up in first without poping the auto-clutch, but it's not easy. The machine in general is a blast to ride, I let her ride my Prairie and I ride the Lakota. It is geared to short though, it needs 6th gear or a different sprocket up front. The Lakota may cold start better that enything I've ever owned, it fires up as soon as you hit the start button. Good machine so far.

 

Is the throttle response bad compared to a 250ex? Im accustomed to a 250ex throttle so will it feel weird.....slow even?

 

I don't think it will feel slow, but there is a little lag in the initial throttle hit. The 250ex just seams a bit snappier at initial throttle movement.
