Sounds like a good ole JEEP, but not a race quad...hey mom look how good a rider I am. I just twist the throttle and POW I'm faster than the pros. The best way to race a raptor of course is wait till its shut off and then and only then you should deepstage(so you have a good MPH run going at the start line) and take off. When you get back to camp you can tell everyone how cool you are. Get a real Quad that thing is just a hopped up power wheels.

I knew someone would have to say something! Oh well. I personally like the power of the machine, but I don't care what anyone says, they should have put a little more into the plastic. It really does look like a utility machine from the front. I don't like the look of it at all. Is there clutching mods out for it yet? What clutches are they using on it? Hows the belt wear with that much power?

Yeah, I can remember when I was 14 and I thought you had to shift to be cool, fortunately I outgrew that stupidity.

When riding the best, you're bound to run into someone who is so jealous that they are bound to find some flaw. I ride with one like that. Mine overheated on a ride one day and I found the problem. I had enough mud caked in front of the radiator grill to fill up a 5 gallon bucket. The radiator was completely caked. When I told him what I found, he asked if I thought it was a design flaw. I told him that I didn't think so, that I was assuming all radiators operated under the same principles. Then, on another long ride, we would stop to rest and my fan would be running. He said he couldn't take it if he had to listen to a fan when he turned his off. I thought the choice was easy. He could listen to a fan, or have a lot weaker engine beneath him.

Please don't take anything "fun" I post to seriously, I'll need you guys to tow me back to camp when the trany blows, or motor breaks, or axle breaks in half, carbs fall out...well you know the story...If I were you guys I'd carry a portable camera and a tow rope...tows only cost the humility of having you picture taken and posted bieng towed by ther mighty KAWI.

When that tank out jumps me on my 400ex I will be impressed. Just because it has a big motor doesnt mean its good. It woudl be better with a manual. Look at the raptor. Big motor with good power. But its a piece of crap for handling. I want to ride a Vfart and see what all you kawasucky fans are bragging about.

I have a P650 but just wanted to agree about the auto tranny and the v force. I have had dirt bikes and ATV's for the last 19 years since I was 11. I used to make fun of auto belt driven machines, saying it was for people who did not know how to ride, where too lazy to shift, etc.
I think the early polaris auto's, with no engine braking, suspect relaibilty, that you could not take through a deep mud hole is what really turned me aginst auto's. When the P650 first came out I was like, what a shame and waste of that enigine and bike giving it an auto tranny. I was like "Why would kawa do this?"
I would never have looked at one let alone bought one, until I actually rode one.
I rode my friend's for about 30 min. Then I was like damn this thing rocks. 3 months later I sold my dirt bike, and utility ATV. I bought one P650 to make up for them both.
I know it is the same way the v force, especially for people who have been riding ATV's since the late 80's when they were all manual trannys. If people will go out and try the v-force just give it a shot, and not let their pre conceived notions about auto trannys get the best of them, they will be hooked. The power and torque of the big v twin engines is so addicting, and the autp tranny lag is not noticeable.
But, I still wish kawa. would be like suzuki with the Vinson and give people the choice of manual or auto.
Athough, I love my bike and really like the tranny, the V force or P 650 with an auto to me, is like owning a Porcshe or Ferrari with an auto gear box, its still really cool and fun to drive. But a manual version would be the King of the road.
