OF COURSE I TOOK THE AIR BOX OFF AND USED A CLAMP ON FILTER AND I WENT UP A STEP ON THE MAIN JET AND NOW IVE GOT THE MOST OUT OF THE MACHINE FOR THE BUCK AND NO ITS NOT TO LOUD.... OH ONE OTHER THING I PUT A 13 FRONT TOOTH SPROKET AND SOME 20X10X10 FAST TREKKERS FINISHED IT OFF I WEIGHT 205 AND IT STILL PULLS ME AROUND JUST FINE.... IVE GOT TO WEIGHT TILL NEXT YEAR FOR THE Z-400 .....JIM N.LAS VEGAS NV..

JAY- cams with .380 lift will require heavy duty valve springs and either a klr250 box or have four stroke tech remove the rev-limit. Those cams only start making serious power where your stock rev limiter will kick on. If you dont replace the cdi you'll be pissing in the wind I guess. Just my .02cents but call salvage yards and ask them for a klr250 cdi, I'm sure you'll find one and whatever it costs its well worth it.

I know I need the CDI to get the most out of it. I've got 2 spare stock CDI's I got off ebay, planning to send one to FST. I've been watching ebay for a KLR box but haven't found one yet. The quad has been sitting for about a month now and I halted the planned motor mods because of my sons grades.
