Default More on reverse override switch.

Well I managed to smoke my override button messing around. So I clipped the wires and went straight to the switch w/o the button in the wiring. That works when the switch is on. You would think that when you turn the switch off it goes into retarded mode and it does, except it does it in the forward gears as well. The reverse light comes on as soon as the switch is flipped off. Sucks..... Need to figure this out. Not sure why I am having so many problems except maybe I am testing it in various positions and finding out the main fuse blows in certain swithing schemes and now the button is fried. I suppose they make you buy a whole new left pod that has all the controls on it not just the reverse override part. Will be checking with my dealer. I may just straight wire it for my trip tomorrow so I don't have to worry about the switch at all.
