I bought the Supertrapp IDS2 and it came with the race core so I called Supertrapp and they are sending me the quite core. How do I change them out. Detailed instruction would be nice. Supertrapp said they do not send instructions but once I got it I can call back and the will tell me over the phone. But I would like to have something I can print out. I know you have done this so any advise is appreicated.

It's very easy lisa, damn loud pipe isn't it.

You remove the silencer section from the quad. Then under the silencer you will see a hex key bolt (like the ones that hold the end cap on) Remove that, that bolt is the core retainer. Remove the end cap. Then drill out the two rivits that hold the supertrapp logo to the side. Now it's clear sailing, just push the core out from the header part to the rear where the end cap was, it's out.

If it's heavy carboned you may have to put a board on the ground and hit the end cap side down on the board verticly. This will help dislodge it from the carbon build up around it. Once it starts moving it's pretty easy.
