Default V-Force niose?

My v-force makes this clunk type niose when i put in in reverse. Its not everytime but it does do it. Is that normal? Should I take it to the dealer? Im tying not to be paraniod but it took alot of saving to get this beast and if there is something wrong I need to take it to the dealer before my 6 month war. runs out.

Besides that, I was very suprised how this thing handled at the track. I thought for sure I would be flying over the handlebars going over the whoops but the v did very good. Its not the best handler i have ever been on, but for its weight and size its unreal. And as far as the power goes, OH MY GOD!!! this thing will fly out from under you. If this bike will keep the reliability rate that the 400EX has, i think it is a hands down winner for any catagory. I had a really hard time deciding between this and the KFX 400, mainly due to the handling. After riding all day yesterday on trails and the track, I believe I hit the nail on the head with this one.

And as far as the break in thing goes, I may have slipped a time or two just for a instant as far as going past half throttle rule. Any of you other v-force owners fall in this catagory.

Thanks for any help with the clunking niose thing.

Mine will clunk if I don't let the rpm's get down far enough, or if I forget to put the brake on? Both are just learning the machine. That's my 2 cents worth with only 2hrs riding time. I thought I had screwed it up first time I did it...

Slow the engine down to get rid of the clunk ........ m P650 will do the same noise if it is idling too fast.

As for the break in period .... I not sure I made it past 10 minutes let alone 10 hours !!!!

I've had that sound to and just like they said let it idle down and mine,s fine. What Id like to know is if others have alot of clutch noise kind of a whine thats rather loud, also my fan seems to run alot. Mostly when I stop, other than that I love this quad its the best all around machine I've ever had!

I love that CVT whine. They tell me it sounds like a blower coming up from behind.

Not having the brake down far enough i think was my clunk. ALL my cables were way out of adjustment.

I'm trying to trace a mechanical rattle down. Kinda loud, sounds like between the subframe and swingarm, over rough choppy bumps?

I have the same clanking noise going in and out of the throttle. I see that the 650's have a similar noise. I am going to wait another few weeks then take it to my dealer. I had the 3rd one sold in Alberta so I need the dealer to be a little more familiar with this bike before I have them tackle this issue. They haven't even recieved their service manuel yet!!!
