red secondary?

i got the 2003 epi catalog and there is a red secondary clutch spring. it is stronger than the black spring. does anyone have one? this spring should make the belt last even longer? can the belt be squeezed to much?

Absolutely it can be squeezed to much, but whether that red driven spring is too much or not remains to be seen. I am sure they developed it for some specific purpose. Maybe it was needed by the people that do sled pulls.
I haven't slipped once with the black one. My RPM's are high enuff for my tastes, so I won't be anxious to try out another spring.
I am sure EPI did research and testing on it. The funny thing is that spring shows up without any real advice on whether to use it or not.
Just gimme that computerized distributorless ignition module from Emerald F and I will be fine.
