Force......whats up man, seems like every post you put on here you are ******* out the rappys. I own a raptor and have no ill feelings towards the v force crowd, matter of fact I like the v force.......so what gives, why the chip on your shoulder about your bike........did someone kick your a$$ on a rappy at some time, or maybe your just showing your young age.........whatever it is just remember there is always someone faster no matter what your riding.....

I agree DirtH, I have a couple of friends with Banshees and Raptors that are the type, if they get beat on a Sunday, they are in the shop dropping a grand on Monday. I gave up long ago trying to compete with attitudes like that. I am sure that there are a bunch of people that would say a Grizzly or a Prarie650 or 400 for that matter could never keep up with a Raptor, or a VForce, well where I live, there are a LOT of places they will see that I will NEVER see from the seat of my VForce, unless my buds on their Grizzlys and Praries are towing me. Maybe force needs to make a trip to the Marengo Suicide Run.

Shiny side up...

Dirthead- Rappys are ok. Like the V because its something different. Had 4 250 quad racers over the years and if V wasnt here would still have one. I do beleive the V has more potential then the Rappy. I like all quads.

32 here...

I've been out of the ATV scene for a while. Growing up, my dad always had something fun for me to ride... mini-bikes, motorcycles, three wheelers, etc. Even entered a few races back then. After high school though, sport bikes and jet skis were the rage. So, I got into each in the 90's, which filled most of my free time. These past several years, most all of my old jet ski pals have sold their bikes and skis and bought quads and go out to play on the river every weekend. I figured it was time for me to do the same! Got tired of hearing about all the great four-wheeling stories... all of which, I was missing out on!

Badittude mentioned one of the same reasons why I bought the 700. Less work, more fun! The 700 could not have come at a better time for me. Even at the cost, it was a pretty easy decision for me. Automatic, shaft drive, rear sealed brakes, high mounted factory snorkel, huge motor... Hmmm...sounds like my new river machine.... $old!!

As of tonight, she just finished guzzling her first tank of gas. It's been a lot of fun so far!

ps. Great post by the way... I find it interesting to see the replies. ~30 yrs. old and up so far. Is it really the automatic and shaft drive?...or I wonder if it isn't that some of the younger crowd might not be at a point in their life where they could probably afford such an expensive new toy. Anyhow, enjoying the replies.

Thanks.

30 here, 31 come July and I still ride like I'm 14 and nothing matters. I think that's what keeps me riding, cuz when I'm riding I feel just fine! After though, my frickin knees kill me. Them's the breaks.

No attitude, dude, actually on the contrary. Been where you are, are where you will go one day. 3k, I would buy another quad before I put that in a brand new one I just paid 6500 for. My son needs a Blaster to replace his trusty TRX 90.
I guess my point is, how are you going to feel when you sink 3k into a 6500 dollar quad, have what, 9500 in it, and some dude comes along and smokes you? It aint all worth it. I still race my bikes, and laugh when I lose.
I was watching a Mardi Gras Parade this spring in a small town near where I live, and this group of guys comes down the parade route with a bunch of Rubicons. Well, their bikes all had 2 or 4 snorkels coming out of the front plastic, about 4 feet high. They all had those 48 inch skinny v grip AG tires on spoke rims and big exhaust snorkels coming out the back 4 feet high. What I am getting to, is the rider would DROWN before the bike would. So what was the point? I had to stop them and ask them to call me the next time they went riding and needed that stuff, cause I wanted to watch.
I havent ridden in too many places where I could use a 100mph VForce other than the highway in front of my house, and its ok if my buddy Jason on his Banshee on Alcohol still beats me. I dont bet him, and I stop right after he takes off to keep the sand and gravel out of my mouth. When he comes back around, I tell him he wins again, now is he ready to go mudriding. He always says no.
Remember the story about the guy that mounted a military C-130 Short Takeoff Rocket in the back of his Ranchero? He didnt make it. (fiction, but great urban legend).. dont go looking for the rocket.

38 and I ride on Saturdays so I half-way recuperate on Sunday. (unless it rains Sat. night) I think they made this thing just for me, 6' 1" @ 260lbs. started on atc 90s in the late 70's, have always had something to play in the dirt with, and haven't ever had it this good. But,,, I tell you,, I sure feel like a cdi/rev box, dual exhaust, K&N, a bit of jetting,,,would go a long way.
