Default KFX 700 PIPE

I also have another question about the lenght of the headers. I always was told that is was nessesary to have both header the same lenght on a v-twin, so that the back pressure would be equal on both cylinders. I notice that the front header(tail-pipe) is alot longer than the rear, WHY??? and does the stock silencer take care of this UN-BALANCED air in the sileincer itself???

I would assume that the after-market FULL system would have to make both "tail-pipes" the same length. But what about a slip-on???

You are going to need a much longer grab handle if you have equal length pipes on a KFX !!

Hey guys,
I have been talking to MD about this new WB pipe. He has it at his shop, but hasn't put it on yet (to busy with others!) It has same length headpipes with dual silencers on the same side. He also heard that it will be able to fit Prairie's (YEE HA). I will have to get one if this is true, I have been bugging Mike Shelly to part with his off of his 800, but no luck! I called and e-mailed WB yesterday to see whats up, but no response. I will try again tommorrow.

I think if you can wait the WB pipe will be worth it!

If an "H" pipe, or some kind of crossover pipe, was used, would the headers still have to be the same length? Wouldn't that equal out the pressure on both sides? I believe the Yoshi dual pipes (read about it in the new Dirt Wheels or ATV Actions, can't remember which) is using some kind of crossover pipe.
