spacer between carb and intake manifold

spacer between carb and intake manifold
I found the spacer (that holds an o-ring) that fits between the carburator and the intake manifold broken. What can I use in it's place? Can I get away with out it, since the carb has an o-ring?

I'd get a new one. They're only a few bucks.

Thanks, the tricky part though is gettin one. I'm 2 hours from anywhere and I'm not sure if Gio will ship me one. I'd definately pay too much going that route anyhow.
