Exclamation smc r100cc no start

Got a 2005 smc r100 atv and it worn't start. The starter cranks but there is no fuel going into the carb. The fuel filter housing fills up but nothing goes into the carb. Spark is good and the battery is new. Next thing I was gonna try was take apart the fuel filter housing and make sure it's not clogged. Any other ideas would greatly be appreciated.......

don't know the specifics about your quad, but it sounds like the petcock valve is open if your filter is getting fuel. after cranking, is your spark plug wet and smell like gasoline? if not, then the piston ain't getting fuel from carb. have you opened the the drain screw on the carb to see if fuel is in the bowl? if the quad has been sitting a while, you may need to take the carb off and clean the jets/float real good.......let us know.....

Got in there and found the vacuum line on the fuel filter housing broken. Replaced the line and found fuel finally going to the carb. Still didn't turn over so rechecked for spark and found nothing. Checked voltage to the coil found only 2.3V. But felt unsure about things cause the other night spark was fine. The quad has been sitting so thinking if I should just replace the C.D.I unit and the coil to get em out of the way. Wonder if there's something I'm overlooking...Thanx!!!

Before replacing the CDI and coil I would:

1) Check and double check all kill switches to make sure they are in the 'run' position.
2) Measure the CDI power and ground connections with a meter
3) Check the CDI trigger pulse with a meter.

You can get the above "out of the way" without spending any money. And you may get lucky and find that the problem is identified and fixed easily without haveing to spend anything.

Can you post pic's of your CDI? Or post a link to a vendor that sells your CDI?
