yamoto 150
#1
I bought my son a yamoto 150 several years ago (05). Up until just recently it ran just fine. I made the mistake of leaving fuel in the carb over the Florida winter. There was some varnish in the carb when I took it apart. I completely took the carb apart and cleaned it with carb cleaner. I got it to run for a little bit and now the only way it will run is if I spray starting fluid in the throttle body. It has a manual choke but that doesnt seem to work. From what I've read the elecetic chokes arent any better. The float bowl is full of fuel. I can tell because when you remove the bowl screw the new fuel runs out. Any ideas of why fuel isn't being sprayed into the combustion chamber?

i hate to say it, but sometimes you have to clean it more than once to get it running nicely. make sure the petcock valve and the fuel lines to the carb ain't gunked up. i know you said the float has fuel in it, but if the tank to carb delivery system is partially plugged, it may not keep up with what the float is demanding to retain a level. point to ponder and consider....

Thanks Jaster94,
I'll triple check the jets again. I have full flow of fuel to the carb. the vent in the gas cap is clear also. I'm gonna pull it apart again this morning and see how the fuel is suppose to flow at idle and then acceleration.
I've rebuilt hundreds of car carbs and dozens of small engine (lawn mower, weed eaters etc...) but this is my first atv.
