lt80 vs honda trx90 trail riding
I have a 04 lt50 right now that my son loves but is outgrowing it. I have thought about upgrading him to a trx90 since all of the trails around here are really rocky and rough. All of the trx90's I have seen so far in my price range are pretty beat to HSpam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word * and no one seems to have titles for any kids quads nowadays. I did find a good deal on an 03 lt80 today though that seems extremly well cared for and also is a one owner with the title in hand so I am really considering buying it. I am a little concerned about the strengh of the swingarm on the lt80 in these conditions since my son is pretty rough on things.
What are you guys thoughts.

My son is a large 6 and will be 7 in 2 months. but he is very tall for his age his knees were hitting the handlebars on his suzuki 50 that he has been on since he was 3. Right now he fits the 90 perfectly he can stand up with some room between him and the seat and a slight bend in the elbows reaching the bars. I have also limited him to the second gear until I am more comfortable about his ability not to outride himself(kids always think they are better than they really are)
For pricing keep an eye on craigslist the ones I looked at for around $600 seemed pretty beat up but the ones around here for $1000 seem to be in real good shape. The 06's have the starter which is sooo much nicer than a pullstart but they are harder to find and go for about$1300 and up around here. I did see one for $850 but it needed new rear plastics

My son is also tall for his age. Sounds like I should be looking for a Yamaha 125 so that it isn't too big but will still fit for a couple of years. I know of an Arctic Cat 150 but I don't know if I want him on an almost 400 pound machine. It can be governed down but still that is pretty heavy.
