Default 110cc Whines and dies?

Hello. I have a hand me down 110cc automatic one way Chinese kids quad that wouldn't start. The stator and starter were shot so I've completely replaced the entire wiring harness kit. New battery, plug, starter, stator and oil change. I got it to start up and run great for about 10-15 minutes then starts to build a whining noise until it dies. Turn it off and let cool a few minutes, restart and issue repeats. Only does if after warmed up. The noise sounds as though its coming from the stator area so I removed the cover to investigate. Only after removing the flywheel did I notice some rubbing on the back of the starter drive clutch and gear. Not sure if that could cause the issue Any help is appreciated. I might note that I am new to this forum and not sure if videos are permitted. I couldn't get my video to load so I've left a link to my private clip on youtube. Hopefully that's not considered commercial advertising. Apologies in advance if breaking any rules.
Update: It looks as though the starter driver clutch is rubbing on the gear. Had a friend tell me the heat could be causing the metal to expand causing the starter to catch.
Any advice or input is appreciated.
