I recently picked up a 50cc kazuma meerkat from a buddy and have been trying to get it running. There was no spark and the carb was bad so I put a new carb on it and replaced all of the ignition system. I'm getting great spark now and I am getting gas to the carb but it won't run. It will fire up for about 1 second and immediately die. Any suggestions?

 

Check valve clearances and do a compression test. If both are OK, check the choke is working properly. If it still won't start, clean the carb out, dirt or protective oil could be partially blocking a jet in a new carb.
