Measured the bed. It actually comes out to 6'3" an the tailgate adds just shy of another 2. With 8'2", you think I can pull it off? My kid may get stuck with a mini-mini!

My B-in-law welds pretty good. Put an extended receiver hitch on his his truck (about 3 feet long) so he can pull a trailer while his cabover is on. Figure if I need too, I can get him to do me one so I can still turn.

I couldn't do it with my Eiger and my kid's Scrambler 50 in my F-250 shortbed. My Eiger just barely fits in the shortbed, and the scrambler 50 is 36 inches or so wide.

What about something like this?? Mini ATV receiver hitch carrier

Never thought I'd buy based on length and width, but it looks like that's where I'm going. The one's I wanted were 7" too long on paper. There are other choices that are .5" too long. I can live with that unless I'm missing something.

Thanks for your input!

I tried putting my son eton 90 sideways in the front, the fenderwells had it leaning to much so I tried it sideways on the back. It does work with my quad pushed all the way forward and his sideways aganist it. I strap his down front and back tightly. The only pain is once I get the front wheels up, trying to turn the front wheels while swinging the back around.

we got a Bayou 185 in sideways, with a bayou 300 straight behind it, and a honda 70 trail bike beside the 300. I have a picture when I figure out how to post it. It was only a little bit on the tail gate.

We got two blasters, one TRX 90 and all the camping gear into the back of a 77 Chevy Long Bed. All ON THEIR WHEELS too!!! I'll post a pic soon. The tailgate was down for that. We just had to swing the back ends around and put them in sideways. Where there is a will and some ingenuity, there is a way.

Put the mini in sideways. Yours should fit with the tailgate down no problem. I guess it just depends on the model of the quad that you buy. Get a bedliner and don't worry about scratches on a pick up. If you need to worry about scratches, buy a classic car I got a couple of those too.

Have fun and ride often.

Start them young!

I can fit my Z400 and my sons KFX50 in the bed of my GMC shortbed. The Z in first and the 50 sideways on the tailgate, fits just fine...........
