Default Need some input on the mini 50

I am looking at the Alpha Sport MINI 50 the xtreme mini or the kasea. Any input would be great. I looked at the xtreme I liked it but it seemed to be made on the cheap side. The Aplpha seemed to be made the best. I like kasea but no dealers in my area. If anybody has these a review would be great. The full size 50's are to big my daughter is small and her sisters viper 50 is to big for her. Just letting you know before anybody suggest it. Thanks

Default Need some input on the mini 50

We have owned a Kasea Mini 50 (and a Skyhawk 90) for about a month and the thing is unstoppable. We did have the hand/wrist tether/kill switch connection go south immediately and subsequently bypassed it (we still use the throttle limiter and the rear tether to limit the little kids). I think one of the younger kids jammed the pin in sideways one too many times and bent the metal contacts. Other than that, it has been a pleasant surprise-it will cart around the adults easily (awesome Pit bike) and our dealer took out the carb and exhaust restrictors and threw in a tank of gas and a bottle of injector oil for free! The kids have been riding it non-stop and it hasn't even blinked. It was rolled once already (by an overzealous youngster) and both kid and quad came out none the worse for wear. It seems like everything is put together solidly and the bike always fires right up and just goes like you wouldn't believe. I'm a yamaha guy and had reservations about "KASEA" initially, but the price was right and the kids are absolutely thrilled. I'm now looking to add a PW50 (or something similar) to the mix so the kids can see if they prefer two wheels or four. If you search the internet, there are Kasea dealers on the web that will advertise a new Mini-50 for $995 + shipping. My dealer matched that price! I have looked at Alpha Sports little 50cc dirt pike (PW clone) and my local Alpha dealer actually told me that they were not going to carry Alpha anymore because of quality issues and that the bike on the floor was the last one they would have-needless to say, I didn't buy it! That's all I have-Good luck with whatever you get!
