Predator 90 VS Viper 90

To answer the other question that came up here. The speed of the Predator is limited by the CDI. You will have to change it. The transmission on the E-Ton is a little stronger. The Predator suspension is a little better.

I bought my son the 2004 E-Ton Viper about two weeks ago, and he loves it. We took it to the Pismo Dunes last weekend and it seemed to bog down a little in soft sand. I'm interested in the Green wire to the CDI, you mentioned cutting it to get more power. Is this pretty easy to do, and does it give it a lot more power? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure on your preditor, you'll need a new CDI.. on our '02 Polaris Scrambler, there's no wire to cut or jumper to remove... We got a CDI from an ETON off of e-Bay for $25 US, it had the green wire, so we cut it, and it worked great.
TRexTommy and I also tried a DRR CDI with no limiter on our Scrambler 50... it worked as far as opening it up and running, but the key, tether and kill switches didn't work with it.

I agree with the other guys about getting a bigger quad. The blaster is a pretty small bike although it has a fully manual trans. If thats a problem there are others out there in the 250 range with semi auto or fully automatic transmissions. The viper and the polaris are both qood little mini's.Very little to choose from between the two.I have been very happy with our Viper but I just feel that you are to big for a bike this size.
