Hey i am interested in buying a mini quad for myself im 13 i am 5 foot 3 and weigh 125 LBS. my dad doesnt want me to get anything loud so it has to be a miniquad that i get.I have narrowed it down to two the 04 polaris Predator 90 or the E-Ton viper 90. basicly im wondering which of the two atv's being has the highest perfomance (top speed) and which one of the two is the easiest to get parts for ?
if you think a different quad would be better please suggest it to me

While I can't say which one of these quads is the better.. I will say that if it's a quiet quad you need, you can go much larger than that...

My daughter's Polaris Scrambler 50 is a lot louder than my Suzuki Eiger 400 or my wife's Honda Ranger 350. A piped mini-quad is not quiet.

OHH ok thanks but i was going to keep the standard pipe on the E-TON if i got it because it is basicly the same sound as a scooter. i have a question though. if i were to get a honda 250r would it be loud even if i put a silencer on it?

We have both and we are very happy them. Polaris is more $ than the Eton. Top end the Eton is faster when you cut the green wire on the CDI, but not much, could be the rider too. Have you sat on both? and which one are you more comfortable with. What type of riding are you going to do? which one looks better? A lot of questions eh? The choice of a quad depends on what type of riding you are going to do, safety, comfort, looks, and the ability to modify if you are going to race.

 

hey thanks for the reply. well im trying to find a racuing ciruit near to me. but im thirteen do you know if the cc class is like 100 cc and under? this is going to be my first atv but im looking to modify it depending on the money i have left. whats the top speed of both these machines? thanks again

Hey guys i have a question.i went to the polaris dealership yesterday and told him that if he matched the price of the viper 90i would take the predator! I could get it for 2999$ canadian ( the predator)
which one should i take. the viper or the predator?

I don't know what the exchange rate is, but I bought my 04 Viper earlier this year for $2100.00 U.S. delivered.

 

well 2100$ us is the same as 2995$ canadian! well i have a question for you. do you know what the max speed is on the viper 90?? how old is you kid?? and how tall is he im beggining to wonder if i would fit on a viper 90?

My daughter is 10 & just @ 52" in height, & has room to grow into it. I don't think your too big for either 90's. I don't yet know the top speed of the Viper with my daughter on it, but it moves me down the street @ 25+MPH & I'm 5'11" 220lbs. Either mini should be a good start for you, especially if your Dad has placed a limit on it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

You might want to have your dad read through some of these forums. I would say at 13, you would out grow a 90 too quickly. Our 11 year has a Pred 90 nd he could very easily move onto something bigger. Quads and their upkeep aren't cheap. Of course your ability should dictate what you purchase as well. A smaller quad is not necessarily a safer quad, especially as you increase in wieght and height.

I will say, though, that myself and more than a handful of adults have played on the Pred 90, and it kicks some butt with a bigger person, but it is also more tippable as you get a bigger person on it.

Invest wisely...ask your dad to look into it with you...maybe he will agree that something like a 250 might be a better option.
