Default rev limiter

Hey everyone alos on a scrambler 50cc is there a rev limiter?....if so can take it out to get more power out of it and if so where is it located at? Thanks for any help

Dunno about the older oes, but the '02s and newer have a rev limiter in the CDI box that cannot be eliminated... the way to get arround it is to replace the CDI box with one from an Eton that you can cut the green wire on back to open it up.

They are availalbe on ebay for about $25-35.

Thanks brother will it really help that much and do the 02 have reeds?

yep.. the revlimiter mad a big change... the pipe and air filter were useless without it, because it wouldn't let it get into the upper RPMs where the wanted to work well.

the 50;s are a reed valve endine... I have not messed with those on or 50... if you look at the link in my signature, you can see 2 videos of our Scrambler 50.. one before and one after the mods.

How hard is it to change the rev limiter?....im not totally stupid but not great ya know....also is it worth doing it with out a new filter and pipe? sorry to be a pain just wanna get the studs bike rollin even better than it is.

if you come down and get my lt50 i can show you what we did on our o2 scrambler and were to get a cdi box cheap that can be modified and a few other go fast tricks that are cheap

Swapping the rev limited CDI with a non limited CDi was 5 wires/plugs I think.. less than 5 min to swap nad wire tie it all up nice and neat... I can't say for sure that it would make a big change with out the other parts (I did it all at once), but I think it would.

Im not sure big dawg. I havent put one on my studs yet. Scramblur50 is the man to ask.
