yes it was asphalt on that particular track top speed reaching about 95mph back straight wasnt that long but we have reached speeds of around 110-115 on differant tracks with differant gearing to suit. tires are more expensive if its wet they will last forever but on the dry a couple of days racing and there gone, we were racing a motowest tuned gg and yes we smoked all off the banshees, the only bikes to beat us were 572rst two stokes.

from what i read from the magazines the gg 300 has really messed up handling and suspension and the steering is really stiff. is this true?? it should handle awesome with all of the parts it comes with, ohlins shocks with rezzys and wide a-arms and axle. plus it comes stock with razr's and its really light.

yes the steering was stoff and the suspension was very firm, but they have changed that on the 04 bikes the shocks are now 2" longer overall length 19 1/4" we have made 1" forward castor top arms and it makes a hell of a differance, its the closest bike to riding a leager for a fraction of the money that your gonna get. it really is a true dream to ride.

I raced on a gas gas 300 this weekend at an AX in the pro class. Id defantly say it pulles harder than my piped Shee. I havent riden a banshee with mods more than a pipe so I cant say about modded shees. It also has more pull than my cannondale. There was one 440 ex one z400 and 6 piped yfz 450's I managed a 2nd place start in both moto's. By the last lap I was compleatly wore out. It was a beast to handle. Its no wear as easy to ride as my cannondale. Its got some isues in the front end that we are going to try and smooth out. I will be on a gas gas for the 04 season thanks to Extream Cycles for the ride. I am also interested in those A-Arms.

I own a 2004 gasgas 450 fuel injection since october '03 i want to tell everyone this bike got monster torque but no high when coming out of the crate. suspension is awful when stock...i had mine tuned by mx tech and now they are better than my elka elite on my predator. as for handling: must change a-arm 'cause the original as a serious problem it is almost impossible to drive a complete race(here in canada)because of the stiffness of the steering with original a-arm...so i bought 49'' worldclass a-arm(both lower and upper) but i didn't try it so far because i received them 2 weeks ago and to much snow now to go out.!!

i have trouble with my injection fuse socket it is too loose and injection cut going over bumps.....i almost got 2 legs broken when injection stopped on a 75 footer double jump.... i still like my gg 450.... if i can resolve the injection problem it will be a heck of a bike.As for the 'race ready' stuff the gg are closer then other manufacturer but not close to be race ready, simply because too much problem with
the bike(suspension,steering stiffness ect..)
