Default Kasea Spark Arrestor

We just got 2 Kaseas, a 90 and a 50 mini. Now I learn they are "red sticker" vehicles, meaning they need a spark arrestor before you can drive them on Forest Service land. I can't find arrestors. What works?

if your are good at fabricating you can mold some metal window screen material and use it.

Thanks. Had to be USFS approved, though. I ended up clamping a 3" Sparky onto the 50 and grafting a spark arrestor kit (arrestor + 1" connecting/extender pipe) to the 90 by cutting off the stock pipe back past the muffler and clamping and spot welding the kit extender pipe onto it, then clamping the arrestor onto the extender pipe. The whole job took an hour and it turned out great.

Everyone needs a spark arrestor in CA. That red sticker means that it can only be ridden in certain areas certain times of the year. Greenie BS!

Could you provide me with source and exact model of the spark arrestor/muffler items you installed? I have a Yamoto 50cc ATV and need a USFS approved spark arrestor and was considering attaching one as it sounds like you have but I have been unable to source one so far.

I just solved my spark arrestor problem. I picked up a "Sparky" spark arrestor from a place here in Yorba Linda CA. Had to get a bigger diameter than my 3 1/8" tail pipe as they come in 3" or 3 1/2" sizes. I machined a spacer and clamped it on and now have a USFS approved spark arrestor on my Yamoto 50.
