Default ordered paddles for the PRED 90 today

Just ordered paddles for the pred today, got the Gecko's and .125 aluminum rims from rockymountainatv.com for 147.00 shipped!!

Had to get the universal rims cause they were out of the exact fit for the 90, are these OK?

As long as they are a 4/110 bolt pattern, it will work, otherwise you will need to drill the holes.

I asked them if they fit the 04 pred 90 and they assured me it does so I guess the pattern is right!! they said it has 8 lug holes instead of 4

It is probably drilled for a 4/100 and a 4/110, you'll be fine. RM knows their stuff.

The Geckos are real heavy. They are real tough though and should do just great for that quad. When you want to make it fly, get a pipe and the clutch mods from one of the numerous vendors on this site.

csamayfield55,

Just wondering how the new Sand Paddles work on your Pred-90....

My son has an '03 Pred-90 for our deep mud / old logging trails. Within these trails, there's 3 giant sand pits. Every time my son drives his unit in the soft sand of those pits, he instantly get's stuck. With the stock power of the 2 stroke and its heavy weight, its spins sand all over the place, then he's stuck. Just wondering, how the Sand Paddles work on your Pred-90.

we would have been lost with out them last weekend!!! Geckos were OK but if I had to do over I would have gone with the gliders!! The Pred would handle anything my kid wouls throw at it although we did have to dig him out guite a few times, he has not gotten the momentum thing down yet! He likes to roll up to a dune and then floor it and it just burys it

I would not run these things on anything but sand though, If you are planning on riding out to those pits you will have to haul these out and swap tires there

We run Geckos on my daughters E-Ton 90. First, air them way down. You can actually run them at 0 pressure on these little quads, but I feel better with 1 psi. Yes 1 psi, they are a very rigid paddle and hold the bead very well. Next get a pipe or pull the ristrictors off the quad for sand. I put a pipe on my daughters and aired down the tires and she goes just about anywhere (within reason). We were digging her out all the time before that and never the LT80. Last time out only had to unstick her once and the two lt80s with us got stuck in the exact same place. I was just about to sell the Geckos, but now I'll hold on to them unless I get a great deal on some Gliders. My buddy with a 250 actually uses his Geckos on mud trails and logging roads. I say give it a shot.

I was running at 3lb and having all sorts of probs so we took them down to just over 0 and it made a huge difference!!!! I have all the restrictions off and power don't seem to be an issue, we just need to get his confidence up a little so he will keep up his speed! First thing I did when we got to the sand was take him over to a pretty big razorback and showed him and it scared him a bit so he was pretty carefull after that but by the end of the weekend he was doing much better!!
