Can you?
I'm not too sure about the AC brand.
For us, we used the gas throttle thumb screw to adjust the MAX gas flow on our Pred-90. When we had our unit for the first month, the screw was 3/4 in. Soon after, we unscrewed it a little by little. Within another 2-3 weeks, the screw was all the way out. For our daughter, in another 2 years, she'll be allowed to drive it our Pred-90. Then, we'll put the screw all the way back in again. And the fun of riding starts all over again. I'm sure you can do the same on the AC thumb screw adjustment.
I never did like using the CDI jump on our Pred-90. On some brands, they have a wire you can cut. If your AC has the same wire, you can re-install the jumper or re-connect the wire.
For best results, use the thumb screw to restrict the GAS FLOW. When you use the jumper and give it too much gas, any unit runs like crap. The reason is, the electrical system is telling it to stop at that MAX level and you keep giving it gas. Too much gas. In a way, its like choking the engine with too much gas.
Also, welcome to this forum!!! I hope you find the info you need to bring more quad-running joy into your family.
Hope this helps...

It's in the CVT. If you are not too mechanically inclined, best to have the dealer do it. You would need to remove the cover where the kick starter is. Up front is the variator the belt sits in. The back part (closest to engine) cinsists of two pieces that allow the belt to move up and down the variator. In between would be where the restrictors would be located, they look like washers. The purpose is to not allow the transmission to "shift" into the higher gear by restricting the weights from moving to the outer edge of the variator.
