I've never bought a carb kit. I think the problem was in the rollers. I get machines in all the time with the grease hard (like clay). Look where the rollers go, usually the hub gets bad spots in it from the rollers sitting in one place.
You should also take the rear clutch off and check the 2 bearings.

Thanks, LT80, Idid go ahead & order the hub when i ordered the rollers, it had wear like you said , my parts should be here today. On the rear clutch, I got as far the back half of the pulley part #2 on suzuki parts schematic, as to this is what I have been working from, "i'm still waiting on factory manual from dealer , 6 weeks now", the carb kit I was talking about was for replacement oem needles, seats etc. The only problem this quad was SUPPOSE to have was a flooding problem, bowl filling up, gas leaking out. My son's 88 lt80 did the same thing awhile back, I replaced the "float needle", & it's seat " about 35$$,it fixed the problem, but I still wonder if it was just the tiny O- ring that was bad,I didn't see any wear on that needle. Thank you for your input QUADNUTT

The fuel leaking problem can be learned at the "LT80 Petcock problem ARRRRRGH" thread. LOL It may be a good read if the problem arrises again.
To check the rear clutch bearings, simply remove the nut and pull it all off. You can then use your finger to check the bearings. No rocket science here, just pay attention to how it comes apart.
