Default Rod Bearings

I need a set of Outer Crank Shaft Bearings (Polaris part #0450016, but I'll take any brand that'll work) for our '02 Scrambler 50. I'm also going to replace the 2 seals while I have it apart, and I need those, too.

Any of you dealers out there have them? Email me off-line scramblur50@mindspring.com

Are the Yamaha bearings any better than the ones that come in it? If so, what year and model scooter do I need to tell the Yamaha dealer I need these parts from.

Thanks, Bryce

If you mean the large outer ball bearings on either side of the crank, you should be able to get the bearing numbers right off the side of the bearing race and pick them up at your local bearing distributor (look in your local yellow pages under bearings, or power transmission). They're cheaper, and readily available. I did this when replacing my Alpha bearings last year. Bought SKF brand bearings for ~$10 a piece, in stock.
