Default Advance the timing on LT80?

Has anyone ever tried this. I know it works real well on some other 2 strokes, just wondering if it's been tried with any success or not. I haven't pulled my sons apart yet but from the microfische it looks easy to modify.

The Yamaha Banshee gains over 2 HP at 4 degrees of advance, even if the LT80 gained only a fraction of that it would be worth it.

Thanks, Ron.

I've not adjusted a stock LT's timing. I must adjust it for my race motors tho. I did get a motor in that had the timing adjusted all the way advanced. Don't know why it ran, but it obviously did.
Try it, let us know the results.
