I asked the same thing a long time ago and I don't recall a good answer. Jack (LT80) may have them and his price will be as good as anyone's, plus, he helps all the LT80 owners here so much, it's nice to throw some support his way. I do recall after gettting one from our local dealer in canada for around $120-140 Cdn, I was shocked cuz it's a plastic gear recoil.that's still $90-100 US. if Jack doesn't have one, try ebay, or suzukiparts.com.

1fast, I gave right at $100 after tax from my dealer. I am so glad I done it too. We have used it many times and it's not too hard for the young person to do. Otherwise carry a cheap set of $10 jumper cables with you.

Whatever you do ,don't buy the replacement battery from the dealer. They are asking around $70.I get my batteries from Rockymountain ,for around $25.That is if you decide to keep the starter.

Can I install a pull start and still keep the electric start intact?

suzuki sells a brush kit with new plate and springs. cheaper than buying a new starter. check to make sure armature is still okay.

bubba, didn't you think price of pull start was ridiculous for the plastic parts it has inside??
