'95 Breeze, specs for valve adjustment & how to?
#11
My specs are .08-.12 mm for the intake and .10-.14 mm for the exaust. Miy specs are on a label that shows what spark plug and gap to use, What the idle speed is and the valve specs. You could also call a Yamaha dealer and ask the service dept. to be sure the specs are the same.

thanks a lot thunderbolt, I appreciate it. I already called a dealer and they said the same thing for valve spec. what plug do they recommend, and what gap?
is there any spec for the carb mixture screw (i.e), 1 1/2- 2 turns out? I asked dealer about carb, they didn't know (=lazy and don't want to help me). I never asked them about the plug.
Thanks again for your help.

adjusted valves last night. all your info was extremely helpful. mine has the "h", then a dash line and then a 'T'. I used the line.
After checking VIN, turns out I have an '89, NOT a '95. I posted another thread for maintenance info on this thing.

for the intake valve tighten down then back off 1/8 of a turn, for the exhaust valve tighten down then back off 1/2 turn while on TDC this is almost perfect and works on almost all stock 4 stroke quads regardless of size. hope this helps.
