Default Gas Tank Problem

My brother has a Kazuma Meerkat 50. Underneath of the gas tank there is a bolt that hold the front fender and the tank together. The gas tank is molded around this bolt and there is a nut that is permanently in the molded hole for the bolt to screw into. Anyway, the bolt seemed to have stripped out but when i took everything apart I realized that the nut that is permanently in the molded hole was just turning and it caused a small leak. I do not want to buy a new gas tank so what would be the best way to go about fixing the leak. I was thinking of just filling the molded hole with silicone or some type of sealant and then just put the bolt back in the hole, even though it would serve no purpose. Is there a better product other than silicone that would do the job?

Thanks,
Jim

Default Gas Tank Problem

JB weld its awesome. make sure you clean it out real good before you apply and let it dry for at least a day. If that doesn't work see if a used lt 80 tank will. I know some kazumas are copy cat clone zukis
