Default Snorkeling a Pred 90

If I understand correctly, snorkeling an ATV is when you raise the air intake so water does not get into it. If this is correct, has anyone done this to a Predator 90. I had some problems when we first got the quad with water getting in. The dealer said just stay out of the water. Now my son barely wants to ride in 3 inches of water. He is afraid it will start spuddering again. Any ideas???
Thanks,

The issue is not as much water in the carb, as it is burning out the stator. These bikes can't be submerged much past the bottom of the frame without the risk of burning out the stator.

There is also a vent in the cvt that will allow water in and cause belt slippage.

I don't know if they have changed the air filter but our 01 polaris had a paper filter that was shot the first time it sucked up some water.
Even trailering the 90 in the rain would make it not start or run right for a day of drying out.
