Yamoto 110 help
#1
I just purchased a Yamoto 110cc ATV and have a question about filling the engine oil. There is no dipstick. There is a cover that unscrews by hand on the right side of the motor that I thought was the dipstick/oil fill area, but there is no dipstick attached to this plug. How do I know that I have the proper level of oil in the engine?
I bought the machine assembled, but it wasn’t from a dealer. He told me no fluids were added when he assembled it and I would need to add gasoline, engine oil, and gearbox oil before using it. The gearbox at the rear of the machine has a similar type of screw out plug with a small dipstick attached. It was already full of gear oil.
In one picture, there is a threaded cap with a screw slot head. It also has no dipstick attached. I assume this is not for fluids since it requires a tool to remove? Pics below so you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance for any help !

Is there a way to just make the pictures show up in the thread instead of linking to them? Something like the [img][/img] tags on other boards?

Hi, All of the 110cc motors have a glass site glass on the foot brake side of the quad. It has markings for L and H oil fill. The cap on the other side of the engine is only an access plug. Do not add oil there. It also has gear lube plug in the back, which you found. The quads usually come with engine oil and final oil both. I'm suprised it didn't have engine oil showing in the site glass.
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.
