eton 70 upgrades
#11
as he writes he is thinking of going with a eton 70
and as for kasea when i got it it was the best looking / built quad in my price range the trex sat too tall and looked like crap to me and the eton looked inferior and had no foot brake so i went with the Kasea it has a heaver looking double clevis arms like the proven LT 80
grease zerks on the bike ? none of the others had that like the kasea did
the only eton that has raced here in california was Al's i dont know how old that bike was but it seemed to fall apart just lookin at it
it also never seen the front of the pack on a start
now they have a 05 Kasea 90 and are keeping it in the stock class for a while and the rider is doing good
so stinkystarfish if you ahvent picked up that eton 70
go look at a kasea 90 or lrx 90 and tell me what you think

ok if we have to resort to bashing. the only kasea that runs in our 3 state area has never seen the front of the pack let alone a win. all the kasea dealers here have shut down because they could not get parts for customers.. my sons eton as well as the rest that run this area are front of the pack runners. now we can go back and forth forever, the kasea is a good quad but the eton is just as good also your beloved kasea no longer has its foot brake. if i had money like the guy whos computer you are on i would come to california and show you what a eton can do. i wont argue this point with you anymore.
to the original post starter
get your eton, they are good quads. ours is a 99 and still breathing fire. sure aint seen no 99 kaseas still running around or did they even make them then.

actually i dont know what to call bubbas quad now, it has a different frame, eton motor and xtreme plastic with a dinli rear hydro brake. its all good, i drove nothing but chevy for 20 years but now own a dodge truck. i can make any of them scream, just some take different tricks. save that beer though i may suprise you one day. LOL

hey thanks a lot mark dwayne and samson
i havent boughten yet but my kasea dealer told me that they have been having trouble getting parts
the eton dealer just started carrying them after having trouble with the kasea brand i am sure they are all good bikes havent been all that impressed by the name brand quads
so am thinking of going in a totally new direction with the off brands
as far as the 70 vs 90 thing i was thinking to keep him on a 70 so he wouldnt have to move up to the 90 class and compete against lots of really fast bikes and kids his first year of racing when we were at the track last the 90 stock and 90 mod classes those kids were flying not sure my son is ready for that yet
so guys i really appreciated your heated debate that how we all learn
thanks again reese

We got a fast lil Eton Viper50( we put the 70 airsal on it) and done a pipe .clutch mods ect. and it TEARS!! We havent had too many issues finding parts for our Kasea OR the Eton so I guess we are lucky.. If you would like to see the lile ripper fly,let me know and Ill post a link to a very short clip of it against our Kasea... It cant keep up in top end the way we have it geared right now. but off the line its sweet........

Good thinking on starting your boy out in the lower classes.I made the mistake of trying to race our 6 year old on a 90(because that's what we had) and he gets badly beaten every race which isn't much fun.If you start in the 50cc class you can easily upgrade the bike to a 70cc later on.I don't think the 70 can be made into a 90 without changing the crank etc.The 50 and 70 share most of the same parts except the cylinder and piston. Its difficult to judge but try to put your boy in the class where he will be challenged but will be competitive.
