Based on what I've read in the racing mod areas, you're probably looking at Works Performance, Elks or Pep shock upgrades. If a flat or smooth track with a light weight rider, up to 1.5 (maybe 2") wheel spacers will widen your unit. For rough tracks, then go with wider A-Arms. If going with wider A-Arms, then go with off-set mounting of the shocks. Many racers try wheel spacers at first (for smooth tracks) and upgrade to wider A-Arms - if they feel its needed.
For the tracks that you do race at, did you notice if the majority of racers are using spacers or wider A-Arms?? If you can, talk to a few of the other racers to inquire "if" they are planning on wheel spacers, wider A-arms or "tried spacers and didn't like it" type feedback. If you have a bottomless pocket, then go with wider A-Arms. Each track condition is different and you'll want to upgrade your suspension for the worst track your "young rider" needs to race on.
Note: If you do come across a stock shock from a different brand that bolts directly onto your E-Ton and creates better shock performance, please "tell the world". Many of us trail riders are looking for inexpensive stock shock upgrades.
Hope this helps...
