Default problem with ATV not idling

I bought a Panterra 90cc atv from pep boys for $699. I choked it and got it to start but after releasing the choke it wont idle...it dies.

I choked it and let it run a couple minutes, even drove it around, but when I release the choke its dies.

Whats most likely the problem....other than its a cheap ATV ?

Plugged up idle circuit in the carb. There is going to be some crud in the pilot jet of the carb. Take the carb off and clean it.

Sounds like a clogged carb to me too.

Make sure the fuel line isn't pinched. Some of these mini's have p!ss poor quality lines.

Just because it's new does not mean trash can not get in the carb passages. These things have jet passages WAY smaller than the head of a pin. Quality control is not the high point with some of the off brand quads.

ensure the spark plug wire is fully seated on the plug. Will it idle with the gas cap slightly loose? (not a good vent)
whats the temperature? My chinese minibike 90cc redcat wont idle when its cold without the choke on either. kills at every stop. Thats just the way it runs - I have several of them and they all act the same. FWIW.

I just brought a brand new Yamoto 150 home and have a similar problem. Mine fires and starts well, but won't idle well when cold. I have to start it several times to get it to "stick". When it decides it wants to go it runs great and idles well. I adjusted the idle up a little to try to help, but no luck.

What did you do with the throttle cable?

Does the enrichment screw on the other side have anything to do with this?

It almost seems that the automatic choke doesn't do anything.

All help much appreciated.
