well,
we had a few warm days between snowstorms.... and the quad starts perfectly with just the choke on when the weather is say around mid 40's
Once it gets cold out (in the 30's or colder), I have a procedure to get it warmed up, then it runs perfect..
I have to pinch the intake tube shut to create less air intake into the carb, while choke is on. For about 3-5 mins and then it will stay running with just the choke until it gets warm, then it will idle with choke on by itself until fully warmed up. Take off choke and go!
So at this point I'm not sure if it's a malfunctiojning choke ckt or what, but I'll dig in when spring gets here!
Thanks
Rog

I feel this is normal. Ppl that race LT's on the ice have to keep them in the trailer to start.
FYI: I do not run the carb clamp on. The rubber is form fit and I've never had a problem arrising from not having the clamp on. I pop the tube off the front of the carb and choke it with my fingers (as oposed to squeezing the tube, it can be hard to do).
