Did you put a new headpipe on too or just the muffler? I believe the stock one (headpipe) is smaller than the exhaust port. I have milled the head on my similar 150cc buggy with good results, lots more low end grunt. shaved .035" off with no clearance issues, results may vary though. Also, you can clean up the intake port mismatch between gasket/manifold/head.

Also, I know this is the millioneth time I have posted this but here is a good site on your style engine, look at the howitt engine modifications link at the bottom:

That is a great site for owners of this engine, thanks again Kell.

I also cant get the yamoto mod page to come up.

I'm sure you have all seen the mods and pics on my page if not check it out HERE

I have no drawings for any of my mods, as everything I made was prototyped and made to fit, Had some sketches but they are long gone.

I have used a small inexpensive exhaust for 9N ford tractors before. They are cheap, something like $15-$20 and you can weld to it. Check it out the next time you are at Tractor Supply, don't laugh, they work great!

Kell, I have read enough of your posts to know better than to laugh at any of your suggestions.

I am still looking for my digital camera. The picture i have now was from a long time ago.
My site is still in progress.

Mywifesquad, can I put your pics up on my site.

Kell, did you mill the actual head or did you make the hole for exhaust bigger?

yamoto150owner, Feel free to use any or all of the pictures of my wifes quad.

I hope kell doesnt mind me jumping in here, but if i remember right. He milled the surface of the actual head and made a larger ID exhaust header. Could be wrong about the header though.
