Default LT80 Airbox, should it stay or should it go?

Hello, I'm wondering if its a good idea to eliminate the huge bulky airbox on a LT80. Does anyone have any experience with this? If so what do you do with the breather port on the clutch cover? Does anyone have any pictures? There is a flat track lt80 for sale on ebay right now with the setup I'm after. Thanks!

There is no performance gain from getting rid of it. Jack has mentioned this alot before. The air duct cooling system seems to work pretty good. If you are just racing, maybe getting rid of it would work. (keep in mind theres no performance gain thing) If you are trail riding or going to try cross country racing, water will ruin your fun. I have seen this last season. Open air filters usually don't like getting soaked with water and mud. K&N makes filters that will work without the air box.
