Default LT80 Rear Shock Swap!!!

Lt160 shocks are a direct swap on the front. The give you much improved suspension travel and your tires still look correct. They will not make the tops of your tires tip outward like another shock everyone talks about. I bought a set for 50.00 on ebay and they make a great improvement. I have a set from another suzuki that will fit and also give you more travel without the high price or bad look. For the rear. An LT160 shock can be made to work but it is not a direct swap. 1st of all the bottom mount is different so ou have to cut off the mounts on both shocks and weld the LT80 mount onto the LT160 shock, However, The LT160 shock is a tad too long. I modified my fram by notching it behinf the footpegs and cutting the support below the rear fender and adding extra metal. I do not recommend that for a stock bike. You can experiment by welding the LT80 shock mount onto the side of the LT160 shock. This will give you a shock that adds adjustment. It is cheap enough to try. Let me know if you have any more questions.
