Can you use Polaris Premium 2 cycle synthetic blend oil in this machine? It recomends the VES II synthetic. It smokes more with the Syn-Blend. Is there any reason you shouldn't use this on this 2004 Predator 90, other than it smokes more than the other synthetic VES II. I look forward to your responses.

If your Pred-90 is under warranty, then one "should use" what the manual recommends. After warranty, many people switch to their favorite Oil Injeciton brands. Some like Polaris Premium OI oil, some like Yamaha oil and others go with other brands.

When our Pred-90 had factory Oil Injection, my local Honda Dealer recommended Bombadier Mineral Based Injection Oil. (funny cause I would have thought he'd recommend his more expensive Honda OI Oil). He said this Bombadier Mineral Oil is better then Honda OIL, less expensive then Honda Oils, better on the environment and much better for my local extreme changes in weather temperature.

For now, I'd suggest you continue to use the recommended Polaris OI oil. Chat with a few others in your region and same "riding conditions" to obtain what they use. Perhaps they have a favorite for your local weather conditions too???

When I bought my son's '04 SP 90, the dealer recommended the Polaris Brand Synthetic Blend oil. Not the VES II. I was surprised, but happy as it is much cheaper. So, I'd ask your dealer where you bought it from what they recommend and what is used to keep warranty intact.
