Suzuki Lta 50 question
#1
Got my grandson a 2004 Suzuki 50 quad. I did some clean up and noticed on the crankcase top side in the center is a aluminun cylinder with a 1/8 black hose about 10 inches long coming out of the side. The other end of the hose is just lying loose and I cannot figure out if it was connected somewhere. It appears to be a overflow or vent but it has me nervous.
The aluminum cylinder is called a PLUG BEVEL GEAR according to a parts diagram I found. The hose is called a HOSE
Any ideas?
Thanks.....

that is the vent hose for the transmission case; the other end of the hose does not attach to anything. it just runs up and loops though the same upper engine mount as the upper carburator vent hose.
