My son is 10 years old 5'4" tall and 120 lbs. He has never swung a leg over a bike before. What bike would you suggest for a proper fit?

 

What type of riding are you planning on doing?

 

Trail riding, sandy, dry soils, a little bumpy and rocky.

Play riding on small mild play tracks.

No organized racing or Sand.

You might want to take a look at the kasea or eton. If quite a bit of water is going to be involved I would look at some others.

 

How much do you plan to spend. The Polaris phoenix is a nice quad for the larger kids.

 

We have been very happy with our GPX/Unison 90. My son will be 8 next month and is racing MX with it. Your son being 10 I would look at spending a little extra and getting something like the Polaris Pheonix or Yamaha Blaster, other good choices I'm sure also. I wasn't as worried about resale value and such as we are racing and not stock anymore. In the 90 catagory it wasn't much of a choice to go with off brand and save alot of money. Next step up in size I will stay with top name brands as we will be on them longer. My son already wants more power. They just grow so fast at this age, a bike only fits for a year.

 

I think the blaster is to much quad for 10 year old just getting started, i'd go with a polaris or something mild like that.
