#1
I purchased this kazuma meercat 50 cc used it had only ben ridden a few times and was less than 6 monthes old. Well i now realize i got ripped off i see y the guy sold it to me butt owell live and learn. The problem i am having is the bike is hard to start you have to play with the choke to get it to start and it will not idle i can get it to idle if i constintly play with the mixture screw but thats it. i am going to tear it down and adjust the valves change the oil replace the plug and replace the throttle cable, do to it has stuck wide open for the second time and my daughter nearly broke her rib from it, that and her not listning to me. Anybody that can let me in on what to do to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. The main thing is it will not idle and is hard to start.

I would bet money that your intake manifold is cracked. Check and see if the little aluminum pipe that connects the carb to the engine has a hairline crack on it. Mine did this and it will not idle and is hard to start. The jerk that sold it to me won't warranty it either, so I am going to take it off and try to JB-Weld the crack. If that doesn't work, I will get a new one. Only about 30 bucks.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info, I just adjusted the intake and exhaust valves and it fired right up and will idle a lot better. I then found that the air box hose has a hole in it, i know that will not help matters. I am going to pull the carb to clean it and check evrything else.
