.

Based on the tone, I can tell you're in "Panic Mode". To order a sprocket for this ATV, try:

- Local Alpha dealers. Hopefully, you have an Alpha sport dealer in your yellow pages / phone directory.

- Rebel Gears. Their URL is: http://www.rebelgears.com/pages/787900/index.htm

Notes:

1 - Inspect both sprockets, chain and chain tensioner / guides (if it has one). If these are damaged or worn, you may want to replace them as the same time. Also need to fully test the F & R gears before hitting those long trails. Want to ensure there's NO internal tranny damage before driving into the remote locations.

2 - When driving down a hill, NEVER put it in "N". Even if your engine doesn't have engine breaking, putting in "N" is a very bad thing to do when going down hills. Since he told you to do it, wonder if he should pay for some (or all) of the damage??? Your call.

Hope this helps....

If the sprocket simply fell off, then yes you just order another.
I'm curious as to whether the shaft that the sprocket goes on stripped/broke. Check that out first.
Did it hit hard in reverse? Any noise (clang/bang/boom) when it hit reverse?
BTW:: the recommendation to put it in neutral was a poor one, but I guess you and he knows that now.
