Default Limiting top speed of Dinli

At one time i saw a post on putting a spacer in the clutch on a Dinli to keep the throttle response but limiting the top speed of the machine. Did a search and can't find it again. Anyone got instructions and place to buy parts, or remember what the name of the post was?

You can pm me your email address I have a pic of a front variator with a spacer/restrictor i can send you. Basically the stock one looks like a wedding band that fits between the two halves of the front variator around the crankshaft not allowing the two halves to squeeze together/shift out to higher gearing. You would also want to make sure you limit the throttle. Winding out the motor in low gear would be bad too. A 50-60 tooth rear sprocket would limit it to 20 mph or so just need a new longer $15 chain too. I'd change the sprocket instead for less mph.

I will PM you fastest dad. It looks like the stock gearing is 13 in front and 32 in the rear. I wouldn't mind giving it a bit more bottom end grunt, but so far the sprockets i have found are a bit spendy. It is likely the speed restricter will be a short term item, just need to do some more teaching. Any suggestions on where to get a sprocket? I am thinking i may not need to go as far as a 50 tooth?
