Is this a Fair Price?
#1
A friend of mine at work is wanting to buy a quad for their 8 yr old son. They are looking at a 2003 Suzuki 80cc quad and the seller is asking $1,200, it seems to be in good shape but they were wondering if this was a good price. They were actually wanting to pay about a $1,000......especially considering that a new one is $2,300-$3,000 or so..
Thanks for your help in advance!

From what I can gather, the price of qauds can really vary from region to region. Probably the most common answer I hear to questions like this is, check your local ads to see what comparable quads are going for. I am located in the Pacific Northwest and there's a 2002 Lt80 listed for 1600.00 firm. So I would think that a 2003 would be a steal at 1200.00. Craigslist.org has branches for most major metro areas, although some are more active than others. You might check there, and also atvtraderonline.com and any local papers.
Kbb.com (Kelley) and nada.com also offer blue book pricing for motorcycles and atvs. This can be a highly debated topic and some people will argue that it's value is worthless when referring to motorcycles and atvs. I'm not mentioning this to start a flaming war, but to offer other places to check. I will occasionally check kbb and nada to get an idea of the value of something. You also need to consider things like overall condition and any extras that may come with or have been added to the quad. The bottom line though comes down to what people are asking/paying in your local area.
Hope this helps,

03 model for 12bills. pretty good deal. i was one of the lucky ones and found mine on ebay for 258.00 it's a 92 model but man theres so much stuff you can do. you have to take into mind you can go elsewhere and find some newer/cheaper ones but i'm a firm believer that zuki's been around for a while and is in my eyes "top of the line". weather your kiddo 5-14 they have so many hop-ups that will make them scoot. i felt i got a good deal but i'v completely gone through mine and have spent some money(on hop-ups). so prepare yourself and your wallet cuase there fun. and my kiddo loves it to..................sandmouse.
p.s. just about all lt80's are the same. different colors. they havent changed much.

Wow, picked up a zuki on ebay for 258.00? That's quite the deal. Was it local or did you have to deal with shipping? I've tried watching Ebay for a Warrior nearby and for some reason the closest I've been able to find was about 1,000 miles. Most of them are even further - New York, Tennesee, and so on. Seen some great prices on there, but never under $300 (not expected for a warrior, or a lt80 for that matter) but seen some reasonable deals.
