I bought a 06 TRX for my daughter yesterday and she loves it. I have all the restrictors removed except for te pink wire and that may be next as she has stated that she does not like to use 4th as it does not have enough for her. Does anyone know where to get the service manual for the 06. I went to the website that is linked from the Honda website but cound not find one. Thanks for the help.

I don't know of any exhaust restrictor but I can vouch for power in 4th gear when I have the throttle screw run all the way back. It will do 40+ with me on it.
Not sure how much power your daughter needs but for just plain riding around the yard and for the trails we ride, the TRX90 has plenty of power in stock form.

If you happen to find one...let me know please.
The dealer where I bought mine never said anything about a restrictor as such. We just talked about the throttle limit screw and the air restrictor that was in the bag with the owner's manual.
As for the 90 itself...a jewel in my opinion. I just changed the oil over to Amsoil 0w-40 synthetic and the machine just purrs and runs smooth.
My 7 year old son rides it like it's an extension of him now and this is good since he is high functioning autistic. As a result of this "disorder", he insists on keeping the machine clean and he doesn't mistreat it at all.
You made a wise decision in buying one. At least when she outgrows the 90, you can sell it easily and plus the resale value is high. The way my son drives his, it will be as good as new if and when we ever sell it to get a larger atv for him in the future.
Have fun with it!

Glad I caught this topic. I was beginning to think I messed up by not saving some change and going with one of those cheaper Taiwan quads. So is the air restrictor installed by default. I need to remove that. Maybe that wil lfix my cold weather problems. My son has to sit on it for about 5 minutes playing with the choke and revving it slightly to keep it running until it warms up.
A fourth gear also. Cool. I was afraid he was going to outgrow this in just a couple of years. He is 5.
This all makes sense because I was wondering why his Honda 50 motorcycle could pull me around easy and the TRX90 just limped along once I got into 3rd gear.
I just bought my Trailite this weekend. Look for me in Haspen soon.
