ebay quads???
Has anyone bought a kids quad off of ebay with good results? I am looking into getting my girlfriends two kids which are 7 and 9 a quad and wanted to know of some suggestions. I know the major japanese brands are probably the best but they are a bit pricey so any ideas. I would like to stay with four strokes if possable and maybe in the 90cc range. Thanks!

I wouldn't buy an iffy quad off ebay. You want to buy locally if you can, so you know the service AFTER the sale will be there when/if needed. If you are looking for at the cheaper quads check out racewayatv.com. I haven't personally bought from them as the quad I wanted was out of stock, but I've read many many posts praising the customer service. You might even look for a couple good used quads, kids are out-growing them everyday.
Take your time and do your homework, you and the kids will be happier for it.

A few years back, I know a person who bought a "major brand" mini off e-bay. Delivered to their door, put gas in it, turned the key and "away they went". No complaints at all and I read they saved lots of cash. The difference between this person and others is that "they" did their homework first. They visited many dealers in their area, got "proper body fit" and did lots of research on that specific internet company. Before buying across the net, I would recommend you "some how" get your young rider body fitted and a few hours of test driving before buying. Sometimes, buying a product from only a picture could create a huge negative surprise. Always body fit, personally kick the tires and if possible, test drive before buying it across the net. Just like I'm sure you'd want to test drive a new car / truck. Very few people buy a new car / truck from "just a picture" on a computer screen.
Hope this helps as well....

I am interested in one of the E-Bay mini-bikes........looked pretty nice....so I went to the "past auctions" and e-mailed the buyers and asked how they liked them......everyone that had them and got back to me, loved them. One lady bought one for her son and wrote me a full page review of it for me, that was pretty cool. They all agreed that the bikes were "cheap" but WELL WORTH the money they payed. The bike I was looking at was a 70cc 4 stroke mini bike for $380 shipping included, heck that is worth 1 season, If my son gets hooked I'll buy him a good 1 next time; BUT if he doesnt like it I'm not out much.........Just my 2 cents

Hello all, new on this board, but have learn a little in the time reading.
The whole debate about the starter bike, I am going thru it with my 7year old.
I want to get something semi cheap, but also something he will not get bored of in 2 year if he likes it.
Is it better to go cheap the 1st one? Also, in Eastern PA, I can not find a dealer who sells them....anywhere.
I just don't feel like paying the $200-300 shipping.
If anyone has any thoughts or ideas or even knows of a place in PA, I'd enjoy hearing it.
thank you
