LT 80 Wont Start
#1
My son ran his LT 80 until it ran out of gas. I filled it back up and it would not start, but would backfire occasionally. I put a new plug in and cleaned the carb and it still wont start. I took the plug out and it was dry. I took the reed cage out and everything looked ok. I put another carb on and still nothing and the plug is still dry. Anyone know where I should look next. The gas is getting to the carb, but nowhere else.

Remove the air filter boot from the carb. Use 2 fingers to hand choke it.
I bet it'll start.

I took the air filter off and tried that and all it did was backfire. Ive ruled out everything from the fuel lines to the carb to the reed cage. Is it possible I have problem with a head or base gasket.
